Frequently Asked Questions

How do I open my urn?

All of the urns are secured by a wood panel with screws at the bottom of the urn. Once the screws are removed the bottom panel will be able to be removed and the plastic bag containing the ashes can then be loaded into the urn.

What size urn do I need?

All of our Standard sized urns are made to be slightly larger than the industry standard of 200 cu in and all of our Companion sized urns are made to be slightly larger than 400 cu in.

The general estimate is that at a persons healthy weight, 1lb = 1 cu in of remains once cremated.

Because this estimate is based on a persons healthy weight, very few people would actually need a larger urn than the standard sized urn.

Lovely

The urn was beautiful and arrived quickly. There is a wooden plate at the bottom that unscrews to expose the cavity for the ashes. The top opens up to reveal a small tray (maybe an inch deep) for keepsakes. We were extremely happy with it.

Beautiful urn, amazing customer service

I cannot say enough how glad I am that we decided to buy this particular urn, from this particular company. First and foremost, if you are shopping for urns, there's a good chance you just lost a loved one unexpectedly, like we did. And of course, you were smart enough to resist the initial impulse to buy something at the funeral home.
However, there is a good likelihood you are working under a time constraint. I emailed them at about 9pm on a Wednesday, asking questions about the timing of shipping with engraving, etc, because we needed it without a doubt in 8 days. They responded at 1:30am that night, answering my questions, and apologising for the late reply!
I won't go into details, but we exchanged emails back and forth, and I was filled with confidence that my order was important to them, and that it would arrive on time.
It did, and it was stunning! It was a beautiful part of my father's memorial. We selected Navy, and it was perfect. A truly wonderful part of a difficult day.
